A mother represented by our family lawyer wanted to go on vacation in the United States without the presence of the father. In order to do so, she had to receive from the father his permission to travel as well as his consent to obtain a passport for the child. Unfortunately, the father did not consent to these measures.
The lawyer therefore submitted an urgent request to the Montreal court in order to obtain the travel documents and the authorization to travel alone with the child. After hearing the mother, the court passed a decision granting this request in the absence of the father. . Mrs Vallelonga’s cases are not always settled to the benefit of her client.
