In this case before the Superior Court, Attorney Amanda Inkel represented the defendant. The plaintiff was requesting that the defendant pay retroactive child support. However, Attorney Inkel argued that there was an agreement between the parties under which the defendant had actually paid child support to the plaintiff.
Following the case law provided by Attorney Inkel in support of her position, the judge reiterated the principle that the parties can agree on a child support amount that is different from what would be available under the law. Thus, he refused to award retroactive child support to the plaintiff.
Attorney Amanda Inkel did not prevail in all of her cases. See notice.
