Carol-Anne Robichaud represented the father before the Youth Chamber of the Quebec Court (DYP case). He was granted custody of the children for a period of 9 months, while previously benefiting from supervised contact ordered during the provisional measures stage. The mother appealed this decision to the Superior Court. She also requested that the Court suspend the execution of the judgment during the appeal so that the children would be returned to her.
Our lawyer firmly believed in the lack of chance of success of this request in the face of the appeal statement. Therefore, she filed a motion for inadmissibility and dismissal of the appeal. Following the representations of the lawyers, Carol-Anne’s request was granted by the presiding judge on appeal.
