An anonymous signaling to the Director of Youth Protection was done to denounce a parental conflict situation that could jeopardize the child’s safety and development.

Therefore, the parties were summoned urgently so that the custody modalities could be revised by DYP. Lawyer Veronica Vallelonga represented the father during this special procedure. Pursuant to psychosocial expertise, the Youth court deemed that disparaging of the father’s parenting ability by the mother in the child’s presence risked causing a situation of parental alienation. Although courts usually tend to wish to maintain already established custody modalities to promote the child’s feelings of stability, the Court decided it was in the child’s best interest to modify them and ordered shared custody between the parties while waiting for a judgment on the merits. A new status quo will then be established.

Not all clients of Madam Vallelonga can obtain custody at the interim stage.
