The biological father has a genetic link to the child and helped conceive it. The legal father is the person acting as the parent since the child\u2019s birth. The child bears that parent\u2019s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consequently, the biological father (if different from the legal father) is entitled to contest the filiation of another man with that child within a given time frame. That\u2019s what our client\u2019s request was all about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This time around, the blood relationship prevailed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our clients don\u2019t always win their case.
